Direct Support Professional II (DSP II) (P.H. & S/L)
Brief Description: DSP II is responsible for the overall direct support of the person assigned to him/her. S/he will attend to the needs of the person such as assistance with personal hygiene, household chores, community outings, etc. The DSP II will be trained according to individual needs and requirements. This is a part time job. After 1 year of employment may turn into full time position.
Requirements: High School Diploma, clean driving record and reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and auto insurance and current brake tag. Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities preferred, mature, and dependable and have good human relations skills.
Benefits: Seven holidays paid @ rate of 1.25 times above hourly rate.

DSPI (Hessmer, Metairie location), FT 8:30a-3:30p M-F
Brief Description: Responsible for assisting and supervising people with disabilities to achieve independence in relation to their respective goals, and activities. DSP is responsible for recording and maintaining documentation of daily activities in a confidential manner. Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in human services or related discipline preferred, significant related experience may be substituted. Experience working with people with intellectual disabilties, demonstrated evidence of a stable personality, initative, imagination, creativeness and a sense of humor. Early Childhood Worker (Part time) - 2:00pm-6pm, M-F
Brief Description: Experience working in a classroom with care, feeding, and toilet training children from birth to 5 years (with and without disabilities).
Requirements: High school diploma and at least one year experience working with children.

Job Coach P/T - Hours will vary. Brief Description: Provides on the job training in competitive jobs for individuals with varying degrees/types of disabilities. Reguirements: High School Diploma. Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities. Supervisory experience preferred.
Landscape Supversior II FT, Hours: 8:30a-3:30p M-F Brief Description: Responsible for work activities (i.e. working supervisor) transport and supervise crew members. In charge of quality control of the metro area contracts. Daily activities to be reported to V.G. Manager. Perform varies landscape duties as scheduled and assigned by supervisor. Reguirements: H.S. Diploma or equivalent, atleast 1 year landscape and supervisory experience. Some experience working with individuals with disabilities, must have valid driver's license,auto insurance and clean driving record. On-Site Janitorial Supversior PT, Hours: 4:00a-10:00p M-F Brief Description: Onsite Supervisor's primary function is to supervise the crew members while working on the crew. Responsible for quality control they perform. May be required to drive 9-15 passenger vehicle and transport crew members on Arc business. Reguirements: H.S. Diploma or equivalent, Driver's age 21+ with vallid LA driver's license,auto insurance and clean driving record. One year experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
Assistant Garden/Farm Manager FT, Hours: 8:30a-3:30p M-F Brief Description: Work with manager to develop & implement garden business plan. Responsible for budget management, invoicing & reporting. Supervise and train all crew members. Supervise volunteer projects. Flexible hours – may work some weekend markets and projects. Keep gardens neat and well maintained. Keep all supplies clean, facilities neat and well organized. Responsible for weeding, soil amendment, seeding, transplanting, harvesting, cleaning and readying produce and plants for sale – including weighing and pricing. Responsible for maintaining documentation needed for invoicing. Lead role in securing local produce for Vintage Garden Kitchen.Work with manager to Reguirements: H.S. Diploma and valid driver's license. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Must have extensive experience in organic farming, sustainable practices, business management, farmer's markets, seeding, harvesting, soil amendment, composting, planning and supervision of others. Must have a positive attitude and be willing to work with people disabilities. Good communication skills a must and have an ability to collaborate with community and other business partners.
